Olympus Fire Safety was set up in 2020 to support my work as a fire safety expert. It is primarily concerned with technical research and does not trade. Another important aspect of its work is fire investigation. I have written produced several reports on individual fires and other fire-related issues which are available for download.
Architectural Fire Dynamics
This research was started after the Grenfell Tower fire and looks at the relationship between building design and fire spread. It examines how the overall shape of a building, its geometric form and its architectural features can influence the behaviour of fire.
Technical Reports
I have produced several technical reports about fire in high rise buildings, examining issues such as fire spread, facade design, and mitigation/remediation of facades/external walls.
Fire Investigation Reports
I have investigated several significant fires involving combustible cladding. As the findings of fire investigations are rarely made available, the chance to learn from these incidents so that similar fires can be prevented in the future, is lost.
